What’s New or Core Update? The Lowdown on GOLDPoint’s Monthly Releases

GOLDPoint Systems prides itself on being the best in the business, and communication is an important part of maintaining that credibility. After all, what good would it be to roll out new and exciting changes if none of our clients knew about them?

As part of our commitment to keeping our clients in the know, GOLDPoint puts out multiple types of release documents at regular intervals throughout the year. Each type of release serves a different purpose and encompasses different products and services than the others. Today, we want to walk you through a basic breakdown of each release type and what information you can expect them to provide.

Remember that the Help Center maintains web versions of all releases from the current and previous year. Releases older than the previous year are still available on the site, archived as PDF files.

CIM GOLD® What’s New

WhatsNew

The CIM GOLD® What’s New document describes enhancements and changes made in each new version of CIM GOLD, our PC-based loan servicing software. GOLDPoint usually sends one of these out each month. What’s New releases generally include enhancements such as new screens and fields recently added to the program. They are distinguished by version numbers that correspond to the date they are released (for example, version 7.23.3 was released March 2023). Your institution must update CIM GOLD in order to access these changes.

Core Services Release

CoreUpdate

The Core Services Release update describes enhancements and changes made to our Core Services, including reports, system security, fee and method calculations, institution options, transactions, and numerous other behind-the-scenes functions. GOLDPoint usually sends one of these out by the third Sunday of each month, followed by a Beta preview of the following month’s update a week later (when the build is available for your institution to test in Beta). GOLDPoint does not release Core updates in November or December. Core updates are distinguished by date released (for example, October 2022, January 2023, etc). Unless otherwise specified, these changes are automatically downloaded immediately once they are released to the host computer and accessing them requires no action on your institution’s part.

GOLDTrak®PC What's New

GTPC

The GOLDTrak®PC What’s New document describes enhancements and changes made in each new version of GOLDTrak®PC, our PC-based loan origination software. GOLDPoint systems is striving to put out new versions of GTPC more consistently, and our current goal is once every other month. What’s New releases generally include enhancements such as new screens and fields recently added to the program. We have recently revamped our version numbering for GTPC releases, and they are now distinguished by version numbers that correspond to the dates they are created and updated (for example, version 2212.0216 was created December 2022 and updated February 16th). Your institution must update GOLDTrak®PC in order to access these changes.

Web Release Notes

WebRelease

The Web Release Notes describe enhancements and changes made in GOLDPoint’s web-based and remote products/services (such as web and mobile apps). GOLDPoint usually sends one of these out each month. Release notes generally include recent enhancements such as new screens, options, and fields added to our apps. They are distinguished by date released (for example, October 2022, January 2023, etc). Unless otherwise specified, these changes are usually available immediately once they are released to the web and accessing them requires no further action on your institution’s part.
