Coming Soon to GOLDTrak: Pulling Credit Through the Clouds

Written by Ashley Jensen | September 17, 2021

I know you’ve been excited since reading about Equifax’s Big Move in my last post. And you’ve been wondering when all the changes on our end were going to be happening. And I’m here to tell you that it’s right around the corner.

Our next version of GOLDTrak PC, version 7.9.46, is in the final stages of testing and will be released to Production soon. This new version will include the ability to pull credit using a JSON/HTML credit pull to ensure that you can still pull credit from Equifax.

And if you simply can’t wait to start using this new feature, we invite you to begin testing it in Beta. This will ensure that your institution will be ready for the switch to the new version once it is released. And to get you started, here is the down-low on what’s coming with the new version.

New JSON Format for Credit Pulls

GOLDTrak will be able to pull credit using a JSON/HTML credit pull instead of a Text/HTML. This is critical since Equifax will soon no longer be supporting a Text/HTML credit pull. (All institutions that pull credit from Equifax need to be using this new process of pulling credit by October 31st to ensure they still can.)

Once you have the upcoming version of GOLDTrak, you can use the new GPS Credit Service field on the Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian tabs on the Credit Report Setup screen (highlighted below). Checking this field tells the system to use the cloud service to perform a JSON/HTML credit pull.

Note: The new GPS Credit Service field will initially only be functional for Equifax, despite appearing on all three tabs. Programming to perform a JSON/HTML credit pull using the cloud service for TransUnion and Experian is underway but will be released in a future version of GOLDTrak after the functionality for Equifax has been released.

After you have checked the GPS Credit Service field on the Equifax tab, you will be able to see that this type of pull is occurring in the Format column on the Credit Report screen (see below). It’s as simple as that. One-click of a checkbox and you’ve unlocked the power of Equifax’s cloud. Are you starting to feel like a superhero? Because that’s a lot of power right there.

New Setup Fields

As part of this project, we have also added some new setup fields. The following three fields have been added to the Office/Security Group list:

  1. EQ_GPS_CB_SVC_IO (Equifax)
  2. TU_GPS_CB_SVC_IO (TransUnion)
  3. EX_GPS_CB_SVC_IO (Experian)

These setup fields correspond to the new GPS Credit Service field, according to which tab the field appears on (Equifax, TransUnion, or Experian).

What are you waiting for?

Start testing out the new Equifax credit pull today in your Beta environment. And, get ready to download the new version of GOLDTrak PC, because it will be here before you know it.

As always, we will let you know when the newest version of GOLDTrak PC is available in the GOLDTrak PC What’s New out in our Help Center. In the meantime, if you have any questions or want more information, please reach out to your GOLDPoint Systems account manager.
