What is the App Portal (or Galaxy)?

You may have heard the term Galaxy, the App Portal, or Galaxy API being thrown around quite a bit for the last few months. You may have asked yourself, “What is that? It sounds cool and new-age-y but what is it actually going to do for me?”

Well, I’m here to lay all your questions to rest. Galaxy is a nickname for our App Portal which is a new service from GOLDPoint Systems that includes tons of easy-to-use web-based applications which will allow you to conduct business entirely through the internet.

Part of our App Portal is our API Library, formerly known as Galaxy APIs. APIs, also known as Application Programming Interfaces, allow you to post and modify payments, calculate costs, and pull customer and branch information from our secure server. These are just a few examples, and our existing API Library allows you to accomplish much more. APIs are also easily modifiable and constantly accessible. Just reach out to your GOLDPoint account manager for any questions you may have.

The App Portal also comprises an online Payment Portal that allows you to view and modify accounts directly. Any changes you make on the App Portal will automatically be applied to the same account in CIM GOLD. The Payment Portal gives you and your clients accessibility and ease of use without compromising security or risking loss of data.

The Payment Portal also makes integrating with your third-party partners easy. If you want to process reconciliation files, future-dated payments, cash and check payments, or so much more through any of your or GOLDPoint Systems’ third-party partners, our App Portal makes it easy to do so. We can create or modify existing APIs to allow third-parties any access they might need, as well as limit access to only the essentials to make sure your data stays secure.

Speaking of secure, security is our number one priority across the board. When it comes to operating on a web-based platform, we recognize that you may have some concerns. This application allows those you give access to view any changes being made to access levels, loan applications, and much more.
