Amortization Deep Dive: The Rule of 78s
As we talked about previously, there are many reasons why understanding amortization methods is helpful for financial professionals. Today, we’re...
At GOLDPoint Systems, we are excited to introduce you to one of our newest applications: The Audit Logger. The Audit Logger is a new application included in our App Portal.
Our Audit Logger is a one-stop area that allows you to track and audit changes being made within the App Portal. This includes records of new loan applications, changes to security and access levels, and updates to the system itself. If there has been a change made, our Audit Logger keeps tabs on it.
Within the Audit Logger, you can filter, view, and compare these changes for any auditing needs you may have. It makes it easy for you to find the information you need quickly and easily.
When you first open the Audit Logger, the main page displays all the audit logs for today’s date. Check out our example below for a sneak peek of what this looks like.
From this page, you can select individual audit logs from the right-hand pane to open a detailed view (see example).
If the audit log records a change made to the system itself, the Download button allows you to download a .json file of the updated information. The Show Changes button opens a new pane where you can see all the details of the change that was made in a JSON format.
You can use the buttons in the right-hand corner of the Show Changes window (see below) to view these either as a merged file (unified), with deleted items crossed out and new items highlighted, or as two separate files side-by-side (split). The old version of the array will be displayed on the left-hand side and the new version on the right with the changes highlighted in red and green, so you know exactly what was changed.
From this view, you can copy the content onto your clipboard or download it into a .json file.
For new loan applications, you can view the date, originating user, IP address, and application details in the details pane.
The Audit Logger also allows you to filter results by a number of categories such as Date/Time, Product Name, Log Title, and even the Username and IP address of origination. Once you have entered your search parameters, click the search button and the system will display all applicable audit logs.
For more information on the Audit Logger, see the Audit Logger User’s Guide in the Help Center.
If you love making your job quicker, simpler, and easier, then this is the application for you.
